Pain Management, Opioid Use, and Addiction in Alaska

Description

The purpose of this course is to provide Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants licensed in Alaska education on addiction, opioid use, and pain management.  This is in response to new Alaska legislation requiring prescribers with a DEA license in the state of Alaska to complete two hours of continuing education credit on addiction, opioid use, and pain management.  This course is presented by Alaskan medical experts in pain management, addiction, and public health. 


Continuing Education Credits: This Enduring Material activity, Pain Management, Opioid Use, and Addiction in Alaska, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 1.00 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP certification begins 09/17/2019. Term of approval is for one year from this date. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Time to complete: Approximately 1 hour. Receive 1 continuing education credit.
